India is the 2nd largest producer of aluminum: 4.2 million tonnes in 2025, 5.7% of the world's 74 million tonnes (USGS MCS). It is the 4th largest exporter by value: $4.7 billion in 2024, 5.9% of world exports of unwrought aluminum (HS 7601) (CEPII BACI). Its biggest customer is South Korea, which takes 13% of its aluminum exports by value.
