China is the largest producer of plywood: 60.4 million m3 in 2024, 53% of the world's 113.3 million m3 (FAOSTAT forestry). It is the largest exporter by value: $4.6 billion in 2024, 27% of world exports of plywood and laminated panels (HS 4412) (CEPII BACI). Its biggest customer is the Philippines, which takes 7.6% of its plywood exports by value.
