How much coffee does Brazil produce and export?

Brazil is the largest producer of coffee: 3.4 million tonnes in 2024, 30% of the world's 11.1 million tonnes (FAOSTAT). It is the largest exporter by value: $11.7 billion in 2024, 35% of world exports of green coffee (HS 090111) (CEPII BACI). Its biggest customer is the United States, which takes 16% of its coffee exports by value.

How much coffee Brazil uses

Brazil's domestic supply of coffee was 1.2 million tonnes in 2023, 10% of the world's. Food supply was 5.0 kg per person a year, 45th highest of 135 countries with a million or more people.
