Correlation calculator
Pick any two commodities and see how closely their monthly prices have moved together, over any months both have data for. This checks any pair; the linked prices report instead lists only the small number of pairs already found to be notably strong or weak, as a shortcut for browsing rather than a specific pair you have in mind.
Corn and Crude oil's monthly price changes have a correlation of 0.07 over 799 overlapping months (1960-02 to 2026-08), a weak positive relationship.
Correlation is of monthly log price changes (not price levels, which would often look related just because two prices both trend up over decades), Pearson's r, computed only when at least 90 months overlap — the same method and threshold as the linked prices report.
